Entries for the 2025 Championship Boerewors Competition are now closed! A big thank you to our sponsors, and we look forward to announcing South Africa’s next boerewors champion once the grand prize recipe has been chosen!

• 1st Prize:
  Toyota Fortuner 2.4 GD-6 RB AT valued at over R700 000 and R20 000 cash.


• 2nd Prize:
  R50 000 cash.


• 3rd Prize:
  R30 000 cash.

IMPORTANT DATES

SACA will select the Top 30 recipes from the pool of entries that will be announced on Monday, 14 July 2025.

The TOP 10 recipes will be selected out of the TOP 30 on Thursday, 1 August 2025.

The TOP 10 FINALISTS will take part in the FINALE on Saturday, 23 August 2025 where the OVERALL WINNER will be announced.

The WINNING RECIPE will be available in-store on Friday, 5 September 2025.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE COMPETITION?

After the competition, the winning boerewors recipe will be featured in Shoprite and Checkers stores across the country for a whole year!
